I am using this blog to review books, articles, presentations, and blog posts about anything related to software engineering. I find that writing up my thoughts will not only help me understand the subject matter but also my own opinions.

Being honest about my opinions is essential for realising I have them in the first place. It is not my intent to be rude to anybody and any negative comment I make about a particular piece of work is by no means intended as a personal insult.

I am a professional software engineer in Wellington, New Zealand. After studying computer science for 10 years at university and becoming a PhD along the way, I slipped into working life about three years ago. Suddenly, there is a whole new world where unit tests are actually used, and software is written in teams that have stand-ups in front of Kanban boards… This blog is a journal of me making sense of all of this.
